Utiliser "Hate", "Like", & "Love"
Les verbes hate, love, like, & prefer sont souvent suivis du gerondif quand la preference est generale et par l'infinitif quand on parle d'une situation precise. On doit utiliser l'infinitif avec les expressions would love to, would hate to, etc. Ces verbes peuvent aussi etre suivis d'une proposition introduite par that ou par un nom.

- I hate to tell you, but Uncle Jim is coming this weekend.
- I hate looking after elderly relatives!
- I hate mushrooms.
- I hate that he lied to you.
- I love dancing.
- I love to dance at the jazz club.
- I would love to dance with you.
- I love ballet.
- I love that you remembered my birthday!
